He is currently president of the International Society for Intelligence Research (ISIR). He is particularly proud of his students who have contributed to our understanding of intelligence and cognitive abilities.

Mission
Aims & Scope
This unique Open Access journal in psychology primarily publishes empirical research on the nature and function of human intelligence, cognitive abilities, and related traits along with Review papers, Discussions, and occasional book reviews. All perspectives are considered including psychometric, education, social, cultural, genetic, evolutionary, developmental, organizational, neuroimaging and neuroscience. The journal prioritizes empirical submissions but will also consider theoretical and review papers. Applied research, including test development, will be considered if it advances the basic science of intelligence and cognitive abilities.
Following blind peer review, the principal criterion for publication will always be scientific merit, based on strength of argument, analytical approach, reliability and validity of results, and clarity of exposition. The ICA policy is detailed in (Haier, 2020) (subject to updating).
